Perception Software appoints Scott Harger as chief technology officer

AUSTIN, Texas—August 27, 2014 Perception Software announced this week Scott Harger will join the executive team as chief technology officer and vice president of engineering. Harger’s extensive experience in the enterprise software space, most recently with Initiate Systems, acquired by IBM (NYSE:IBM), puts his expertise in high demand. Harger will be focused on pushing out the next generation of product data discovery, navigation and publishing solutions for the cloud and mobile platforms.

 Prior to joining Perception, Harger was an architect in the IBM information management development organization. He most recently focused on next generation cloud products. He has also served as solution architect in the IBM growth markets based out of Sydney, Australia. Before joining IBM, Harger was product architect at Initiate Systems during a period of rapid growth.
